When working in SOLIDWORKS assemblies, you have the option to use ”Hole series” feature. This feature helps you create a hole in the assembly that goes through several parts.
To do that, click on "Assembly features" ➡️ "Hole Series". Select the surface and placement of the hole series or select an existing hole. Then select the specification and define the middle of the hole. Lastly, select the end component and define the end condition of the hole.
❗ Each configuration has one hole series instance. Using configurations is the only way to use Hole series on a part that appears multiple times in an assembly.
