When upgrading SOLIDWORKS license server, it is important to verify that Windows Server version in the server that hosts SOLIDWORKS license service is supported by the SOLIDWORKS major version that is going to be upgraded. You can check system requirements here.
Here is how you check Windows Server version?
1.. Login to server that hosts SOLIDWORKS network license service. Please note that typically only specific people have access to that server. You can also login to server by using Windows Remote Desktop connection if that connection method is allowed.
2.. After logging in please type the command msinfo32 in Windows search bar and launch System Information.
3.. Check the "OS Name" field. Please tell (or take screenshot) to PLM Group person which version is listed in this field.
