Here's a quick tip: If you have difficulty "capturing" your lines on your sketch, it may be because 'Dynamic Highlight from graphics view' is turned off.
You can turn this on by going to Tools ➔ Options ➔ Display and checking ‘Dynamic Highlight from graphics view’. Then the lines light up with orange (standard color) when you move the mouse over, and that way it becomes much easier to "catch" the line.
