How to reset Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge site permission settings to allow 3DExperience Launcher

Users might experience an issue that nothing happens when SOLIDWORKS or other 3DExperience Launcher related app is launched via 3DExperience Platform. There might be multiple different reasons but one common reason for such behaviour is that Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge has blocked the connection.

In this situation when SOLIDWORKS or other app using 3DExperience Launcher is launched, either nothing happens or 3DExperience prompts to download 3DExperience Launcher but "Continue" button is greyed out.

This is how issue gets fixed:

Launch the browser that you are using. It is usually either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Issue might exist with other browsers as well but these two browsers are generally in use.

Then go to browser's settings and change the site permissions according to pictures below.

Google Chrome:

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Recent Activity and select the site "https://rxxxxxxxxxxxxx-eu1-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com/". Press the link "Reset Permissions" that will reset all settings to defaults.

Microsoft Edge:

Go to Settings > Privacy, search and services > Site Permissions > Recent Activity  and select the site "https://rxxxxxxxxxxxxx-eu1-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com/". Permission named "Sites can ask to connect to any device on your local network" is likely now set to "Block" but you need to select the option "Ask (Default)".

Note: There are two other permissions related to intrusive ads and insecure content but these permissions should be set to "Block".

After allowing 3DExperience Launcher to connect to network 3DExperience Launcher should give these dialog prompts to allow the connection. Please select "Allow" and "Always" for these dialog prompts.
